EDUCATION & BACKGROUND

Dick graduated from Cleveland State University in 1977 with a degree in accounting.  He has three children and lives in Fairview Park with his wife Nancy.

RESPONSIBILITIES AT WDW

In 1985 Dick was promoted to Partner and currently serves in our Accounting and Auditing Department.  He is the Financial and Administrative Partner and also oversees WDW's recruiting efforts.

Dick's client responsibilities encompass many of our larger client organizations, specifically those in the manufacturing and medical areas.  He has had extensive experience with not-for-profit organizations and is a member of the Firm's Not-For-Profit, Manufacturing, and Employee Benefit Groups.

Dick has participated in the Ohio Society of CPAs' activities, including the Relations with Schools and Hospitality Committees.  He shares his professional knowledge as a member of his church's Finance Board  and as treasurer of various local non-profit entities.


BEHIND THE CREDENTIALS

Who was the most influential person in your life/career?  My mom, who told me to go into accounting, and Jim Hachen - after one car ride, he taught me how exciting accounting could be.

If your child wanted to own his/her own business, what would you tell him/her?  Be prepared to work very long hours.

What is one character trait you highly value?  Honesty.

Describe yourself in one word.  Easygoing.

What was your favorite class in college?  It was the 70s, I can’t remember!

How do you spend April 16th?  Standing in the yard and looking at the grass grow.

What was the first car you ever owned?  1963 Ford Galaxy convertible.

What was your favorite toy as a child? My Cadaco All-Star Baseball game!
