Susan Wilson

BACKGROUND & EDUCATION

Susi was educated at Kent State University prior to becoming a mom and after the birth of her three daughters took over the office management duties of several businesses she and her husband owned and operated.

After almost 20 years of self-employment, her husband suffered a work-related disability, and Susi transitioned to the accounting field, where she has worked since 1985.

SPECIALTY AREAS

Susi has tremendous knowledge in bookkeeping, due not only to the continuing education classes she has taken, but also to her years of hands-on experience with privately-owned businesses.

BEHIND THE CREDENTIALS

How do you define success?  Appreciating where the path of life has led me and wanting to continue on the journey.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?  I'm not sure this was advice, or just a way of life, but COMMUNICATE, COMMUNICATE, COMMUNICATE.

What did you learn during your first year on the job that you still use today?  Flexibility is the key! Nothing is etched in stone.

What is one character trait you highly value?  HONESTY.

Describe yourself in one word.  Some would say old, but I prefer "a mellow vintage wine."

What was your favorite class in college?  Psychology.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?  I would love to travel the length and width of this country.

How do you spend April 16th?  By trying to accomplish the impossible - catch up on all I have missed in the last 3 months.

How do you unwind?  Anything that does not tax (excuse the pun) brain cells.

What did you want to be when you grew up?  Happy, content.  Hey, does that mean I grew up?
